lynx
In preparations for the next release (less brown-baggy), I did an almost straight runthrough of bg1 to check if it still works. It does. Bugs were killed in the process and I don't mean ankhegs or carrion crawlers. Now it's time to do the same in bg2 with a sorcerer/monk/cleric. The fighter/sorcerer/thief combination from bg1 was just too boring to take over. Link to comment
Guest Micru
Maybe you could use this checklist to keep track of all the quests that are completable. Or are they all already completable? http://www.forgotten...1/checklist.htm Link to comment
lynx
it's a runthrough, so no. It was the first time I played bg1 with gemrb except for testing, as bg2 has my favour. From the previous complete run of bg2 with the thieves, there's a chance that Nalia's keep will be broken (Nalia) and there's some issues with Garren Windspear, but neither prevent those questlines from being eradicated. Details here. Link to comment
lynx
the run through the soa portion went fine too, so only tob left to check. Link to comment
lynx
tob was (made) cooperative. I also visited Watcher's Keep for the first time and it was fine too, except for an odd bug. But it is not gemrb specific and I did have a nonclean install, so let's blame IR for now. It can be easily avoided without touching the dialog file too, just run SetGlobal(“counter”,”GLOBAL”,0) after you chose the first mechanism. This means with the next release, the whole saga should be playable from start to end. There are just two notes: 1. I didn't play totsc, but others say it works fine. 2. You can't import the party from bg1 to bg2, only the protagonist (manual export). Link to comment
Avenger
Meh, i thought savegame upgrade works! Link to comment
lynx
Oh, that should work (at least it does in other cases), but we don't have the gui side of it set up. Or maybe it is just my memory and there was no 'import game' choice in the original and you had to do the same character export dance as now. Link to comment
Avenger
You simply copy the savegame to bg2 and load it. I'm not sure how the import worked, i never used it. Link to comment
