masterpoobaa Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Ok so im having some issues getting this conversion installed, and im not sure why. I have my IWD installed to c:\games\IcewindDale, Complete with IWD, HoF (ver 141), and Trials ontop (ver 142). I have my BG2 installed to c:\games\BGII - SoA, complete with BG2, ToB and patch 26498. I run it as admin (win7), installing it to C:\Games\Icewind Dale in BG2 It seems to accept the BG2 path ok, and copies accross a pile of data, but seems to get "unhinged" towards the end with the following lines, and throws an error when i put in the IWD path. (ive bolded the error bits) ================================================================ ..... 1 file(s) copied. [weidu] WeiDU version 22900 [./CHITIN.KEY] 182 BIFFs, 41793 resources [./dialog.tlk] 74107 string entries [weidu] Using scripting style "BG2" WARNING: parsing log [WeiDU.log]: Sys_error("WeiDU.log: No such file or directory") Installing [update path] Copying and patching 1 file ... Jarno Mikkola Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 ... ERROR: BIFF [C:/Games/IcewindDale/DATA/AR3600.BIF] cannot be loaded: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "C:/Games/IcewindDale/DATA/AR3600.BIF") ... If I remember correctly this is the basic .biff error the v22900 throws at you, use the latest WeiDu.exe from the Windows binary archive. (v23100 --->) The first warning is just that, a warning that says you have no WeiDu mods installed in the directory... in this case it's actually a good thing, as you have a fresh install.
DavidW Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 I think actually the main problem is that the installer doesn't like directory names with spaces. Try C:\Games\IWD_in_BG2 instead. (I'll see if v7 can be more forgiving.)
masterpoobaa Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 You are correct. An install path with no spaces did the trick.
