Most embarrassing question...EVER...

I have never gotten around to playing this altho I intended to for goodness knows how long. I never even finished the first, but now I have this on Steam and began, and it's lovely and I can't wait to keep going!

I read a previous thread where berelinde simply says to drag the mod into the Override folder and then play.

Is that REALLY it? No "setup exe." or anything? I'm just afraid that the mod did not install. I have no clue as to if it did or not. I'm at the Fair and thus still in the tutorial, I guess, but this isn't BG and I have no way of confirming that this even took.

At the beginning is the weird option of "add mod" or something, but this one was not mentioned, so I just clicked on "Regular Campaign," or something like that.

How do I know I'm all right before I get too involved?

*cringe!*

You do have to extract the archive. In other words, you have to un-zip it. You'll see a yellow folder named fp-v4 and that's all there is to it. No setup.exe, no flaming hoops.

You'll know the mod is working when you get to Neverwinter for the first time. Once you're there, you can visit Sand's store and do a little (very little) light flirting. You can also ask about the painting on his wall and what's in the red beaker.

Oh, thank GOODNESS! And so fast! Thank you thank you thank you! I'm pretty sure I did do the "Extract Here" and see all the little yellow folders, but then I left them alone. Okay...off to win the prize and get on with this.

Whew...I was really worried here. I'm so used to BG that this just threw me BIG time.

Thank you so much! :)

Well, I'm finally in Neverwinter. Took bloody forever! I met Sand and he mentioned the Red Beaker and I asked what's in it, but there's no "light" flirts at all and I cannot ask about his painting. I'll try and wait a bit longer. But...since I got the Red Beaker question I'll just hope all is well. :)

edit - nevermind. I just realised a thread already deals with all this. :) No problems, I'm sure.
