I wouldn't know whether or not my spell.ids is okay but I'd assume it is.
Well, assuming and looking at it is a different thing... open the file from your override folder with Notepad and see if it looks anything like the linked table ...

The dryads of Chateau Irenicus are hostile when I encounter them for the first time. Even though they initiate their introduction dialog, I was forced to slay them which more or less cancelled the acorn quest.

I guess the Shout()s of the nearby duergar opponents made them hostile. Is this intended behavior or merely an oversight?

Hi, first post on this forum.

Good mod this, I really like it. I use v.21 for my BGT run but have noticed that “Increased staying power for dragons” doesn’t appear in the v.22/23 readme, is it deprecated?

Have a request for that component (if it is still in use, that is). Currently the dragons receive x3 hitpoints; this is too much for my taste. I propose alternatives for this component, say x1,5 x2, x3, x5 and x10. With alternatives, everybody can select an increase taht is suitable for their game.

I also have a request for “Remove animation from the Cloak of Mirroring”. I like to keep the animation, although it is too strong, can it be tuned down?

Keep up the good work!

Like mentionned earlier in this thread by someone else, I am unable to install SCS v23 on BGT and Linux, I get the error "bolt02\n.itm" not found with first component. (Please notice that on Linux end of line codes are different than in Windows).

I would advice against using it.

I never tested it in-game but there are plenty of errors at installation level. DavidW has been away for a few months but it happened before so I trust he'll be back. Eventually.

You can play v22 and be happy, really. v23 won't add anything special to your game anyway (there were some minor bug fixes for EE, but that's it), it's more of an attempt of merging both SCS' together and developing it then as single project.

This fails to install for me.

I have GOG versions with BGT installed in C:\Games\Baldur's Gate II\

I ran the exe, told it to extract into the above directory, and every time the stratagems exe is ran it fails to find a needed file.

Did you notice the difference of the ' lacking in the other ? And the v23 is a beta that didn't turn out well, you should avoid it and use either SCSI & SCSII, or both in BGT.

is beta

I figured it would be ok because I was only using it to add the "NPCs wait in inns" to an already started game whose directory structure I backed up (I would install more components in a later playthrough)

But then I thought better of it and used v21 for it (works like a charm, thank you)

That being said. I figured I am going to help playtesting what I can to find any possible issues with the beta.

The file is in: C:\Games\Baldurs Gate II\

It is not, I just redownloaded it and extracted it to C:\test

it simply does NOT create a file called "SETUP-STRATAGEMS_AUTOINSTALL.TP2" resulting in instant failure as soon as the exe is ran.

It DOES create a file called "SETUP-STRATAGEMS.tp2" under one of the subfolders, but no "SETUP-STRATAGEMS_AUTOINSTALL.TP2" anywhere

Well the installer reads the game files, and now thinks the game is installed there... as it's not, you first have to create a game that actually works... and you do that by opening the game folders "baldur.ini" file with Notepad and guide the [Alias] paths to the game folder, and will then always use the BGMain.exe in the game folder to start the game, as if you do otherwise you just start(using the wrong baldur.exe) a game not in the actual game folder but in the folder the game was installed and registered originally(this is due to the baldur.exe's starting a front end program that uses the Windows Register to start the registered game where ever it was installed at the first place). Now wonder that installer got confused...

Now other than that I have no info to give you as I don't have the v23 installed because of the beta being officially branded a failure.
