Sarevok Posted May 1, 2013 Author Share Posted May 1, 2013 So then that installpack somehow broke. ... well now what besides manual installs? going by in spoiler list of mods which to install in what order to get working? other guide besides .pdf just confuses me. And as I've said before have had problems trying to follow .pdf; maybe part of the reason is/was because a) it doesn't list a mod, b) the mod versions are different/wants/requires some other mod content. A) is the most likely. Actually, I'm somewhat willing to try out BWS again if can figure out how to "add" mods to it; I already have the mods DL'd I'd like to play with most. Sigh. Just want to play fun game!! W/mods. ----- e-e Now what else is up with this stuffs and BG??? Link to comment
ericp07 Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 What operating system do you use? If you're on a Mac, you won't be able to use TobEx or IA, but you can manually install all the other mods (but do not run any .bat files, because Mac does not process .bat files). Link to comment

Jarno Mikkola Posted May 4, 2013 Share Posted May 4, 2013 < picture > That's the normal outcome of the temporarily failed setup-**.exe update... your options are either wait it out, or doing the update manually, which is removing the three files and copying the setup-tobex.exe 3 times and renaming them each as one of the deleted files. Sarevok Posted May 4, 2013 Author Share Posted May 4, 2013 Installpack, I've noticed has an "unknown command" when running which is "--force-install" - I haven't touched it, but that among other errors (somewhere in on the spoilers mentions parsing error among others) Here: And it still not listing Auror Kit mod even though all files are there; other than that it lists the rest fine as far as I can tell. That's from the 2002-2006'es(I have no closer memory), it's infact the last one Weimer himself programed. ... just restart the computer, cut paste the file to the desktop(for safe keeping) and then copy paste the Setup-TobEx.exe to the folder it's already, so it makes a copy with altered name, then just rename that. The --forced-install is a later added command function to the file, that doesn't exist in the that file. Hmm, but the greater question is, how the %¤# did you get that to even pop up after all you are supposedly installing this manually ? Link to comment

Really, no idea at the question, it just starting doing that not too long ago the Installpack... so many mods... fun though once things are working. BiG World Setup, when I had used it mentioned something about setting downloads to "no downloads" or something. Hmm... but where do I tell it that. And already have mods all DL'd (downloaded) that I'd like to play with. Or, any way I can add mods dl link to it (BWS) so it gets/does those too? Link to comment
Sarevok Posted May 6, 2013 Author Share Posted May 6, 2013 Ah, apparently I had 2 Weidu in the directory somehow. Cut the 185 version to a save place and deleted the (1) off of the leftover Weidu. Reinstalling the games as needed however many times is quite fine with me. Link to comment

There's a way, but I am not the right person to answer that as I have never used the feature... supposedly there's a lot of documentation in the folder you extract the BWS files. Why is it suddenly putting my files & folders as "Read-Only", and the right-click properties unchecking doesn't work ? Welcome to the new and improved Windows, that doesn't flag things like they actually are... Link to comment
