Did you install a mod while the game was running / a game editor was running (e.g. NI)? Did you install two mods at the same time (i.e. starting the new exe before the old was closed)? What's even more amusing is the fact it's Sarevok's line from BG (which I don't even have installed). I'll do a complete reinstall and see if this persists. Link to comment

Arthandas Posted September 10, 2013 Author Share Posted September 10, 2013 Ok, so the problem is on my end. I have the Polish version but I'm using English dialog.tlk extracted from TotL patch. The strings count in both files is exactly the same so I didn't expect any problems. This bug doesn't exist in Polish file, only after swapping. So, what am I doing wrong? Link to comment

In English version, all the random people are simply named "townsperson" but in Polish, there's "mieszkaniec miasta" for males and "mieszkanka miasta" for females so their string refs were altered. Is there a file where all string refs are stored so I can swap it alongside the dialog.tlk, or do I have to manually edit it? [EDIT] Ha! I'm a master hacker! Apparently, the file I was looking for was crefile.bif. Problem solved and sorry for a false bug report. Link to comment
