I thought Imoen Romance was under re-writing by TC Dale? Not a removal of certain parts, but a complete re-write?

 

 

When you say Trent's "vision of the EE's", you have to understand that by and large, the vision is that of the entire team, including the modders. If there's something anyone disagrees with, you can bet it gets discussed and usually a compromise or agreement is reached.

Yeah. When the work on incorporating main parts of a certain mod had been almost complete, we noticed that the polygonal scripting style was causing serious slowdowns on iPads when there were more than 8-9 adamantium rats on the screen. While the immediate decision was to get David working on the more advanced and resource-efficient brand new polyhedral system, somebody just had to point out that we shouldn't be using rats in the forest encounter to begin with, since those creatures are usually associated with sewers in CRPGs rather than forest areas. As a result, Kaeloree had to re-write entirely a small quest, and that with the voice-acting already done :facepalm:

 

There were more occurences, but I'm not sure I may speak of those without breaking NDA.

I don't think that explicit sexual content is bad as it is, but it really should be mentioned in the mod's readme file. You can't know who exactly will play your mod once you make it public, and such content is not advisable for children.

Author should at least aknowledge the possibility that his lines will be read by someone who shouldn't be exposed to such things.

Er....in case anyone was wondering.

 

The Imoen Romance mod was written by Lord M. It was in alpha for ToB and abandoned 700 years ago*. TCDale was able to get a hold of Lord M and got permission to rerelease the mod with bugfixes and removed/slightly edited content. I assisted TCDale in coding part of the mod and Kaeloree helped me out in that department because the old code was very very hard to navigate through. If I did come across any content that made me uncomfortable to be involved in the mod, even in a coding sense, I requested that the content be removed or edited heavily before I would take part in any coding.

 

I was able to get TCDale a partial beta but had to withdraw from the project due to real life commitments and socialist countries.

While that honestly is pretty impressive, I gotta say, you're missing very key components there. I wouldn't be able to live without Level1NPC and Item Randomizer, unfortunately.
