Freezeup On Throne

Hello folks,

 

Recently got into Baldur's Gate and having an issue. Installed a bunch of mods(fixpack, Weidu, Project1, NPCs, banter, etc.). Played thru some of BG1 up until mine was cleared and no problems then decided to try Throne. Started a game and everything playing fine until I get to having to pick a stone face. After I do the cutscene begins but when the fire starts coming out of the eyes the game freezes up. Also the chat box suddenly covers half the screen and the text is cut off on the right side.

 

How can I fix this?

Give us the weidu.log's content so we don't need to blame the planetary alignments ... open the file with Notepad and copy paste the text to a post.

Here's the log. Probably tell me I have the order messed up which would be a standard noob thing to do.

Based on the log, the mods are unlikely to cause this problem... so I have to ask, what resolution are you using ? The game doesn't work on the unsupported resolutions pass the 1024x768... the only option in the case you wish to use bigger is to use the Widescreen mod, as the original game will crash and do bad things as it's badly programmed.

Well now I'm confused. According to the readme the widescreen mod is already packaged and installed with WeiDu so why doesn't it show in the mod list if it's supposed to be there? Oh well, I'll do it anyway and test it.

 

Update: it didn't work. Still getting freezeup. I also noticed that Throne was set at 32 bit while BG 1 was at 16 so tried changing the 32 to 16 but that didn't help either. Wondering what is making the difference since BG1 plays just fine. Also need to know how to reset the resolution since the x and y I put in made the screen too small.

 

 

Nevermind about resolution. I got it to the right size and game still freezes in same spot. Any other suggestions on what might be the cause?
