BWS install error

I get this error everytime during my megamod installation.

 

ERROR: BIFF [./DATA/AREA030A.BIF] cannot be loaded: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "./DATA/AREA030A.BIF")

 

Does anyone have any ideas on what this error is?

Basically it says you don't have the file in your game directory. In the original BG2 4+1 CD version of the game the file is inside the <game install folder>/CD2/Data/ -folder. Perhaps you should look into reinstalling the game fully.

I have the 5 disk version and installed correctly.

I have the 5 disk version and installed correctly.

Then copy paste the baldur.ini files content... you open the file with Notepad or similar program.

LATER EDIT: the area030a.bif file should be exactly in here: C:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\Data/ -folder.At least it's in my games related folder.
