Kulyok Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 So, people are telling me IWD EE brings out new kits, such as Priest of Tyr. I was wondering, with new NPC mods for IWD EE coming and IWD NPC already available, will Level 1 NPC make use of these kits, too?
Jab Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Btw the Dwarven Defender IWD: EE kit is seriously powerful. His abilities make him the best tank ever in IE games. Well... except F/M dual class and multiclass (because he still gets Stone Skin in IWD - no Iron Skin there btw - edit - it is there with IWD:EE). Its good, that there is the Barbarian as well. I really missed this class in IWD. Blackguard on the other hand is meh.

Now talk about being a god...
Jab Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Well I did not know, that he is there as well. On the other hand normal barbarian can get to full weapon immunity with few mods in BG2. And the Dwarver Defender would probably miss Defender of Easthaven.
CrevsDaak Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Probably yes, correct me if I am wrong, but I think Level 1 NPCs reads the kits data when run (like the Multikit mod for example), so new kits nor mod kits would be a problem.

Yeah, I have made a few kits and the L1NPCs adjust to them, and other rule changes very well. It was coded to account the installation of other mods. That means also that the code is a nightmare to change as reading it isn't really easy either. So when the L1NPCs becomes fully compatible with the Enhanced Edition off the games, it will automatically be compatible with all the mod and base kits in them.
