New entry type in TLK file format?

Recommended Posts

I've seen an additional entry type definition (field at offset 0x00 in each text entry) in the dialog.tlks of the Enhanced Editions. According to IESDP, types 0, 1, 2, 3 and 7 are known and supported. The Enhanced Editions also added type 5. Does it have any special meaning?

Examples in BG2:EE are strrefs 0, 96, 158 or 191.

No, it is a bitfield.

1 - has text

2 - has sound

4 - has token

So 5 is the same as 7, just without sound.
