stevo1977
Are the values from lore.2da and lorebon.2da supposed to stack? For example, since Imoen is a thief, according to lorebon.2da she gets +3 to lore per level. But she also has a Wisdom of 11 (+0 to lore) and an Intelligence of 17 (+7 to lore). Does that mean she should get a total of +10 to lore per level? The reason I ask is because when I play Baldur's Gate with GemRB, she only receives the lore bonus from being a theif, so her lore only increases by +3 each level. I was wondering if this implementation is intentional, or if it is a bug. Thanks! Link to comment
lynx
The bonuses are cummulative, but the wis/int ones do not scale with level. That's indeed intentional. Link to comment
stevo1977
So the wis/int bonus is one-time bonus for each character? That's cool; I never knew that. Thanks! Link to comment
lynx
Yes, but it's dynamic — if any of them change, so will the bonus. So potions, tomes and dream/hell trials can all affect lore indirectly. Link to comment
