K4thos
K4thos: The list of mods with direct EET version goes alphabetically up to "S" and then kind of starts at "M" with Might & Guile again, is this on purpose? nah, that's just me Time to train alphabet some more Hm, maybe the mods that can be installed to BGEE before the conversion should have stayed in the first list (although I am happy if people use the direct EEt versions, of course). I'm hoping that the first section will shrink over time since it creates confusion and makes uninstallation of such mods harder. Quote Link to comment
franco8737
I am using English too. Maybe it is caused by Adrian mod, I will install again. And I also found that the Crossmod component from Adrian mod cannot be installed successfully and I checked the file seems there are some non-EET compatible mod, i.e. Faren. I will try install manually for this component this time. This mod does not add any journal entries. I found a line in Adrian's setup that was adding a normal talk to the journal entries. I corrected this but I am not sure that was the reason. I have all of the mods in my own install using the english versions and my game starts without issue. Do you use another language? I confess, I did not check translations. There was a wrong check in the crossmod component which is now corrected. Made a new upload of Adrian. Made a new test install with him and all the other new mods. Game starts, crossmod compiles, Adrian appears and talks to me. I hope everything is fixed with this. Ah, after more than 10 hours installation on brand new EET with new mods on BWS. I got the same message again i.e. INFO: LUA: Initializing Quests Is there anyway to fix it by others? I don't think I have enough skills to fix it in my side. I can say that the mods that different from my previous successful install are Mage Stronghold, Adrian, Ninde, Gavin BG2, Xulaye, Arath, Dace, Nephele (which are the recent updated mods). jastey
Can you narrow it down to which mod? Sorry if that's exactly the problem, I didn't read all your former posts. What does the whole message say? Quote Link to comment
Mirandel
Great! Hope I will not run into something that is not so simple then. Btw, is it possible to add your great instruction for manual installation into first post? Might prevent some unnecessary questions. Hm, maybe the mods that can be installed to BGEE before the conversion should have stayed in the first list (although I am happy if people use the direct EEt versions, of course). K4thos: The list of mods with direct EET version goes alphabetically up to "S" and then kind of starts at "M" with Might & Guile again, is this on purpose? I will try to match BWS now to those lists by moving updated mods into the BG2EE part (thus also making EET conversion easier/faster): STD;WandCase;0;10;0111; ANN;----BGEE compatible NPCs --- STD;XanBG1Friend;0;07;1111; ANN;--- BG2EE NPCs --- SUB;ajantisbg2;0;05;1111; I cannot find an overview of which mods have been moved, though. Someone still recalls? - Xan Friendship - Gavin BG1 NPC However, since the Isra mod adding crossmod with Gavin + Valerie can only be installed afterwards AND Isra is in Section 1 still...he needs to remain there in BWS. . What about Romantic Encounters for BG1? Not sure if it was already counted. Quote Link to comment

What does the whole message say? Umm, I am not sure too. I got a successful playable EET installation, and I recently made another one with several new mods added and those are "Mage Stronghold, Adrian, Ninde, Gavin BG2, Xulaye, Arath, Dace, Nephele" With this new installation I cannot launch the game and I checked with the run_Baldur.bat and the last line of the message is "INFO: LUA: Initializing Quests" and I guess it is related to quest something? I cannot reproduce the problem with any of the mods you have mentioned. None of those seems to be the culprit here. Quote Link to comment

K4thos
So other than reinstall the whole eet, there is no way to fix it? Cause reinstalling SCS with plenty of large mods is exhausting... make a backup copy and: 1. Uninstall mods one by one from the end of weidu.log and check when the game starts running (it's probably the fastest way to test it considering uninstallation takes only a second) 2. Or remove quest lines from bgee.lua in portions as mentioned in this post. Please don't abandon this installation and don't start from scratch. It's about time to finally figure out which mod is problematic. Edited July 27, 2017 by K4thos Quote Link to comment

jastey
I really should put that into the changelog ever time. No, BWPFixpack is not longer required for Xan BG1 Friendship v10. Quote Link to comment

jastey
It should fail anyway, but better remove it, yes. Thank you for your work on BWS. It is very appreciated. Quote Link to comment
