Question about installation order

Hi,

 

I am about to start a new EET Installation (now that SCS is available !!!) but I wonder where should put mods that are supposed to be installed very soon (according to BWP) but after EEt (according to "Mod Compatibility List for EET"). I also wonder witch of SCS and EET_Tweaks should be installed first ?

 

Here is my install order (mix between BWP and "Mod Compatibility List for EET") :

01. BG1EE (the game)
02. Dark Horizons
03. Baldur's Gate Mini Quests and Encounters
04. The Lure of the Sirine's Call
05. The Stone of Askavar
06. BG1 Unfinished Business
07. BG2EE (the game)
08. EET
09. Almateria's Restoration Project
10. Unfinished Business (patched)
11. BG2 Tweak Pack (patched)
12. Sword Coast Stratagems (patched)
13. BP-BGT Worldmap

 

So now, where do I put these ?

- Dark Side of the Sword Coast
- Thalantyr - Item Upgrade
I guess I can put them just after EET (between 08 and 09). what do you think of this ?

 

And what about EET Tweaks ? Before or after SCS ?

I have successfully installed and tested an EET install with those and more (no SCS however).

So putting DSotSC and Thalantyr between 8 and 9 should be no problem (would be quite similar to what I have done).

I put EET Tweaks pretty much at the end (just in front of some own mods I am testing and therefore de-install/re-install frequently). I would put it after worldmap as number 14.

No idea about SCS - I want my installation stable, so I keep away from that monster at the moment. (I have not your 11 or 12 installed)

According to Component 31 of EET_Tweaks, the later goes after Worldmap (well, in fact, I guess)

 

Something like this :

I have spawns in my installation as well roughly between 11 and 12 in your numbering but I think it is pretty independent from them, so putting it after 10 should work just as well.

I would also use your variant three and put SCS after everything else - just in case you run into problems, it will be easiest to un-install or omit some components that give you trouble. With the exception of 13 and 16 this would resemble the sequence I have and I played successfully through all of BG1 (plus the BG1 Megamods) and the transition and most of BG2 early adventures (including TDDz) with that.

I don't know if someone is interested but I got 1 error when installing SCS in this configuration : [improved Balduran's Isle] (Invalid spell number: -1).

I can live* without this component (I assure you, I can :) !) and I will play without it.

But IF someone want to take a look at it, I can upload DEBUG file, weidu.log and more.

* in fact, I can MAINLY die without it :crazy: I had to reload few times already...
