critto Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Good day, everyone. Say, I want to create a kind of introductory monologue that works as an exposition. Since there is no specific speaker present, no creature name should appear in the dialogue box, only the text that I provide. Is that at all possible to achieve with IE and WeiDU? Cheers, critto
Fiann of the Silver Hand Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 You can put the dialog with an invisible CRE with no entry in its name field.
K4thos Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 StartDialogNoName(S:DialogFile*,O:Target*) This action instructs the active creature to start the specified dialog with the specified target. The dialog can be initiated from a distance and must have at least one state with all its top level conditions true else it will not initiate. The active creature name will not appear as the dialog attribution.
Jarno Mikkola Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 So every time you hear a whispers at woods, and you begin to talk to the trees, it's actually a squirrel that made you do it, in real life. And not that it's related, but they also control the IWD-in-BG2 fog machines.
critto Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 Shame on me, I managed to miss this in IESDP docs. I'll have to be more attentive in the future. Thanks for the replies. cheers, critto
