Magus
Says "0x0052 1 (byte) THAC0 (1-25)". I'm not sure about these limits. I just tried "-12", and it seemed to work just fine. Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
A Byte's limits are from 0-0xff, which is 255, so... with the understanding that some if not half of that is + while the other is -, and so; ± 126 , not 1-25. Engine?Every one of them, it doesn't matter. Go and look, for the dragons in BG2(drag***.cre), their Thac0's are on the negative for all of them. Of course within the game, it really doesn't matter much as having it at -67 has no effect to having it at -27. Link to comment
Fiann of the Silver Hand
I asked because aren't the character stats (STR, INT, etc) hard-limited too? Like, you can expand the relevant 2DAs beyond 25, but the engine won't recognize it. Link to comment
