Roxanne
I have BGIIEE and I cant seem to get the mods to work with it, the folder its installed in isnt exactly like the orginal bgII. I dont see setup-XXXX(toon name) files. Is there some different way to install mods in EE? any help is appreciated.. First of all, the following is for normal PC (I do not know Mac) This has nothing to do with BGIIEE it seems, it may depend on how/where you downloaded and extracted your mods. Normally when you extract a mod from rar/zip you will get a folder xxxx-mod plus a setup-xxx-mod.exe and a setup-xxx-mod.tp2 (the tp2 file may as well be inside the mod folder, it does not matter where it is, setup will find it). Maybe you just extracted the stuff to the wrong game directory?? When you download some mods from github, the whole bunch may be inside some xxx-mod-master folder, in which case you need to move the required files from the master folder into the bgiiee game directory first. There are a handful of mods on github that are missing the setup.exe. In such a case simply make a copy of weidu.exe (or any other mod's setup.exe) and re-name the copy to be setup-xxx-mod.exe. In case you want to install a large number of mods, you may consider to use an automation program for it - BWS will download, extract and install your mod selection for you. PS - With windows it is never a good idea to accept the installation path the original game proposes, it may be protected by those silly access rights and safety garbage they have in Microsoft. Same if you use steam or gog downloads, always put your game to where you have full access and control (Just you and not somebody else). Link to comment
Psionica
If i did install to the default directory Program Files (x86), can i just cut and paste all of the files into a new folder, or should i uninstall it and re-install in a separate directory? I don't know if its my copy, but there aren't many files for this game as there was for regular BGII Link to comment

I don't know if its my copy, but there aren't many files for this game as there was for regular BGII There are some files (config, baldur.ini, saves, portraits etc) in your user/documents folder now (there should be a directory like Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition). This should not be moved at all. Some files in this directory will only be created when you first play the game or do some configuration changes in the options menues of the game. And some features are now directly integrated in the start-up menues, like the old configuration program and such - it is not less files in your game folder but less cluttered (about 5-6 folders, baldur.exe, chitin.key and uninstall.dat + exe) Link to comment
Psionica
I will re-install EE. And see if I can get any mod to work. I tried to get that BWS, once downloaded, it kept giving me an error that something was missing. I have the worst luck when it comes to programs running on my pc. Link to comment

Roxanne
Thanks, I read that link for ur Sandrah Saga, seems interesting but it requires alot of other mods/games be installed. The EET mod it requires is not yet available (it is a mod like former BGT that makes all BG1+SoD+BG2+ToB + IWD1 + 2 and all mods for those games playable as one continuous game) - still under construction.. Psionica
I think windows 8 is the problem, EE works for the most part, only problem with it seems to be when resting, the graphic sometimes crashes the game. Cant even get the Editor to work. Link to comment
Psionica
Ok I had to reformatt my pc anyway. So after doing all that, I went and re-installed BGIIEE, and the installed 2 mods so far and they appear to be working fine. Im thinking it was the folder things were installed in. I wont use Program Files or anything like that for my games from now on. Thanks for the help Roxanne Link to comment
