Adannos
Hello! Can anyone please tell me how to use DLTCEP to make spell effects happen while a spell is cast? Like Irenicus does in his cutscenes? Like this guy managed to do in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FibrlFish2w Thank you! Link to comment
lynx
Load the spell you wish to modify, switch to the second to last tab (iirc) and add extra effects to the (casting feature) list. Most spells have it empty. Link to comment
Adannos
Bloody hell, if you'd knew how much time I spent trying to figure this thing out. I even remember looking at that tab a couple of times, wondering why all the spells have it empty. Now I feel so stupid Thank you very much! Link to comment
Adannos
For some reason I can't make a spell effect appear on my target before the spell is cast. If I select the target everyone then it works fine, but if I select pre-target it doesnt work. Got any idea why? Link to comment
lynx
target self? And don't forget setting a good timing. Link to comment
Adannos
On myself I can make it work just fine, it doesn't work if I want the effect to appear on the target I'm casting the spell. Look in the video at 0:58. The spell that he casts will make a red fiery thingy appear beneath the petrified npc before the spell is cast. Link to comment
lynx
That's already part of the spell payload, not the casting block. The other effects/projectiles are delayed so the ground one appears to happen sooner. Link to comment
Adannos
Hmm, ok. So... is there an easy way to do that? Link to comment
lynx
one of the delayed timing modes. Some convert to the normal ones once the delay has passed, but I'd have to check which bg2 supports. Just take a look. Link to comment
Adannos
Don't bother then. It's a small thing, I can live without it Thanks again! Link to comment
