EET v13.4 released

Since this is about npc, I had a weird bug today, I have Vynd installed he wasn't kicked from the party after korlasz's dungeon like the other npcs. Instead, he stayed with me through baldur's gate and when I switched to the first map of SoD(with the dwarves), he got stuck in unselectable mod and was nowhere to be found on the map though he still was in my party.

 

I believe the mod has no SoD part yet so he should probably just leave the party at the end of Korlasz's tomb.

 

I'll notify the modder about it on the bg forums but it could be nice to have some info on what's the "standard" behaviour for this.

wait a little before reporting it to author. I will test it on vanilla SoD. EET 1.0 RC has not been confirmed to work properly with mod added NPCs by players yet, so it may be caused by EET.

I already know where the problem lays. It's a chunk of code added by EET that automatically disables BG1 NPC after chapter > 7. It's used so you don't meet old NPCs without post BG1 content when going back to old areas. It will be fixed in next RC - thanks for report. Not yet sure how I will handle it but for now a fix that disables this system for mod added NPCS is attached to this post. Install it like any other mod (order doesn't matter).

 

If you still have save before you started chapter 8 (so before you leave Baldur's Gate City for crusade) than Vynd will be available like in vanilla BG:EE+SoD. If you don't have it than you can kick that disabled NPC from your party and spawn new one via console:

 C:CreateCreature("GV#VYND")

although keep in mind that he doesn't have SoD content and spawning new CRE will reset his local variables and progress.

 

Alternatively I can fix your current save game if you don't have that older save and want to keep him for SoD. Upload it here.

Not sure if this was already reported:

The fountain animation in BG3300 at 2530, 3160 is incorrect (big blue square).

should be fixed in RC4 already or for those who installed the patch distributed earlier with RC4. Is it not? I will check it out.

 

I have RC4 installed. It is not fixed.
