EET v13.4 released

Hey,

 

I just tried to install the Sandrah Saga via Bws but after the download of all the needed mods, the Bws tells me that all the Sandrah components cant be installed due to dependency issues and will be skipped. I added all the necessary mods mentioned in the readme for the Sandrah Mod and as far as i know the Bws should complain anyways if there are missing dependencies. Is it even possible to install the Mod via Bws at the moment?

 

Furthermore there are a couple of links not working right now and therefore a few mods cannot be downloaded. Its not lynx this time but uphero.com and look like this:

@Roxanne: is the Imoen romance mod still incompatible with the Sandrah Saga?

@Roxanne: is the Imoen romance mod still incompatible with the Sandrah Saga?

I have lust finished a big EET install with BWS (including Sandrah) - it appears that the current version has a lot of issues with a lot of mods and also with worldmap. Missing downloads - downloads I provided but which were not recognised etc. I finished the install but it was about *semi-manual*. Looks like it is not a good moment to do a new EET install with BWS (agb1 seems to be occupied elsewhere at the moment).

 

And about Imoen romance mod...it is declared beta and untested for the ToB part and it has at least the issue of bugging the final Solar dialogue. This means that it affects all mods, but all you normally miss is the end videos. (Only Sandrah has a REAL issue because the sequel can never start,) Imoen is hosted on some obscure forum, so there is no way to report and discuss the issues with the modmaker. This means you can play EET until the final battle but not beyond if you install IR.

Okay that is unfortunate but I will go for a semi-manual try as well then.

 

A pity that the Imoen mod is causing a conflict there, as i've never played the new tob part from Imoen as well as the Sandrah-Saga so far :(

Here is a semi-manual solution that may help you:

Put the attached file into imoenromance/dialogues/ToB/FinalConversation/ - after BWS extracted the mods but before it starts installing.

Those "final epilogues" problems can't be easy fixed because engine/weidu/coding limitation? Every mod want' to change/add something there and it fuck all of the rest?

No idea how to fix it - they are using ALTER_TRANS instead of I_C_T and I have no clue why. Looks like it only works on the vanilla transitions but not if others are added, which will always be the case.

And yes, *Every mod want' to change/add something there* but normally it does not "fuck all of the rest".

 

PS - I always liked the mod, but even in old BGT it always had its bugs and I never once played it without console (something BWS may call *expert*).

It is far more difficult than that. I would not say it is *bad coding*. I think I understand the intention but I am not sure it can be done this way - the difference between Imoen and other mods is that there already exists an Imoen reaction at the Throne of Bhaal which they want to replace by some more fitting to the mod contents - additional problem is that the original ones have no other trigger than InParty("Imoen2"), so no way to disable them with setting of globals.

However using ALTER_TRANS requires that you identify the correct TRANS, i.e they must be stable. A dialogue state like Finsol01 has 40 - 115 transitions depending on which mods are installed and what they do and this is the dilemma.

So - I am not in a position

to tell vanatos what he should change and maybe show good code example from another mod

The problem is unique and requires its own solution. Maybe not doing it with Finsol01 at all but instead giving it an own dialogue after Imoen changes back from the Slayer or something.
