I'm thinking of modifying traps, to make them more balanced and one idea I got is to make duration of traps be set to let's say 5 rounds, so that players can't set -> sleep -> set more ->... and so on for traps disappear. I tried playing with NI and set both effects(set trap 252 and play visual effect 215) to have duration 2 with timing mode instant/limited, but traps are still there even after 16h of sleep... Is there a way to make them disappear after set amount of time? (Just like cloud spells) Thank you in advance for your help Link to comment
kreso Posted September 7, 2016 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I have never dealt to much with traps, but maybe you could make them summon an invisible creature which is hostile so they fire at him after 5 rounds or whatever. Stupid, but might work. Link to comment
subtledoctor Posted September 7, 2016 Share Posted September 7, 2016 From my limited dealings with traps, which involved creating 3 new ones and mangling a lesser version of Spike Trap, I found that list of the edits need to be made to the projectile, not to the spell file. I have no idea if projectiles can have durations. But that is what I would look at. Link to comment
