Diriel and Chapter 5 private chats

Hoping someone who still comes here might have an idea! As soon as I entered chapter 5 I was unable to select any private chats with Diriel, only talk and flirt were available. Dalekeeper 2 says the romance is still active. Any ideas as to what the problem is?
