malax83 Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 I have already a lot of scroll in my backpack so i m asking to the forum if there s a mod which reduce the general amount of scroll when you re searching among dead corpses Quote
Jarno Mikkola Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Use the scrolls... you don't need to enmass them for anything. There's a few mods that add more, so uninstalling them would help, but .. that too wouldn't help if you refucew to use the scrolls as they are intended, not for learning the spells ONLY, but as a utility item to give the mages power in the early levels. Angel Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Or sell the ones you don't need for a little extra cash. I don't know of any mods that change this, but it wouldn't be too hard to write. The relevant files are the random treasure tables, mainly rndscrl.2da. https://gibberlings3.github.io/iesdp/files/2da/2da_tob/rndscrol.htm Quote

Silverstar Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Open up rndscrl.2da with dltcep, and change all lines to 001 so random scroll drops will all be 1 gold instead Irenicus dungeon has placed scrolls, though it makes sense as it is the home of a powerful mage. Quote
CamDawg Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 The opening dungeon is scroll-heavy since a) (as Silverstar notes) it's the workshop of a high-level mage and b) players starting a new game with a mage need a jump-start to their spellbooks. I don't think the rest of the game is quite so bad with scroll loot. Quote

Ah the memories; first time playing I notice "oh, Bioware decided Imoen had to be a mage because powergaming..." so I loaded her up with the scrolls and had her read them. Then we escaped. What Silverstar suggests will work if you are willing to use a tool to extract/modify the 2da. After all, it's not too hard to find a scroll vendor before leaving the city. Quote
