Bugs and discrepancies in v.6

There are several mistakes I found in the newest version:

Maybe Readme and first line in above quote should warn that they target Alora now.

Nothing serious or game breaking I hope. This error happened with last component from first quote.

 

Change Item Restrictions for Multi- and Dual-class Druids

All games except IWD2, PsT, PsTEE

Multi- and dual-class fighter-druids retain some restrictions on items, i.e. a fighter-druid can't use plate armor.

This is little misleading perhaps. Jaheira was always able to use heavy metal armors.

This happened when I tried to install "Allow NPC pairs to separate" new component.

But unluckily I got second chance to install it because of some mistake involving "Move Boo out of quick access and into Minsc's pack" component. This was installed under " Allow NPC pairs to separate" name it seems.

I used this version of mod on BG:TotSC game.

Fixed. I made the string, but forgot to assign it to this component.

Fixed. This is actually a small syntax error with Viconia's dialogue--it's trying to spawn a creature without the needed facing parameter. While harmless, v7 will fix the syntax error here so there's no warning.

This has been rewritten as

 

Multi- and dual-class fighter-druids retain some druidic restrictions on items, i.e. a fighter-druid can't use a bastard sword, but can wear plate armor. This component will allow the player to make these restrictions consistent, by either loosening restrictions--fighter-druids can use any items available to fighters--or by tightening them. Fighter-druids will be allowed amulets, belts, boots, bracers, cloaks, potions, rings, and wands available to fighters, but all other items (such as armor and weapons) will only be available to fighter-druids if single-class druids can use the item. Metallic helmets are also restricted.

 

Working on the rest.

CamDawg, does this mean that whatever ailed Greenhorn shouldn't affect an EET install? Or is it best to wait and see if you turn up anything that also affected EET?

I can't see it but I hope there are no pistols or swords involved. :) I would be grateful for hint of approximate time needed for remaining fixes to be made so that I can decide shall I postpone start of my new campaign for a little while longer.

This happened when I tried to install "Allow NPC pairs to separate" new component.

 

This is fixed. I had forgotten the misery of trying to work with dialogue triggers in BG without luxuries such as InMyArea, IVFPD, and OR. Yes, OR.

I did catch this error trying to do in install with version 7 on a mac, with 2.5 installed.

Try a quick experiment for me--make a directory named workspace inside another folder named stratagems_external in your BG2EE and then try installing that again.

 

I *think* it's making a file (not folder) named workspace, which is why it's failing to copy things into it.
