Bugs and discrepancies in v7

I'll get the ball rolling with this one. This in on Steam BG:EE 2.5.17 w/ SoD extracted via modmerge. I get an error with the "Send NPCs to an Inn" component. I've attached my .DEBUG file.

 

The BG1NPC version of this component worked correctly on top of this WeiDU.log.

I think Cam knows about it; it's a glitch in the migration of that component from SCS.

 

As a workaround: create a directory 'stratagems_external/workspace' in your game directory.

Not sure is it bug, third mod ( Vault or TWM- polish Mysteries of the Sword Coast come to mind ) or is it intentional ( but not documented) but you can't send NPCs to inns from Gnoll stronghold or adjoining caverns maps. Little annoying when you pick Dyna and forced to make room in party for her. Platform is vanilla BG:TotSC.

In the meantime you can install "Send NPCs to an Inn" via BG1NPC instead of Tweaks... right? It's definitely working on my current 2.5.17 game.

BG1 NPC is not compatible with BG1:TotSC.

Thanks all, I mentioned in the first post that I was using BG1 NPC's component. DavidW is right (of course), adding stratagems_external/workspace allows the component to install correctly. It's also required for the installation of "Allow NPC pairs to separate".

 

Separately, an empty folder "inlined-macro" must be created for one of the latter components to install as well. After Tweaks installs, both these folders have remnant files in them.

The "Allow NPC pairs to separate" component actually isn't working in my BG1:EE 2.5.17 game, despite it installing without any errors. Jaheira/Khalid and Montaron/Xzar have their improved kickout & wait in an Inn dialogues, but they always drag their companion with them when they leave. .DEBUG

been a while but i think that's how it works upon first kicking them out. if you ask them to rejoin there should be some dialogue just to take one of them.

Yes, thats correct (iirc). NPCs leave together but you can invite them to rejoin separately.

I feel especially dumb because that's exactly how it's presented in the readme. RTFM...

There is game breaking bug concerning Alora and lake poet bard in FAI ( which probably involves all 3 of public relations liaisons I guess). First two of her commentaries on negative reputation gone well enough but third (" I don't know CHARNAME, it sounds nasty" ) causes CTD. When she says that line bard Sam doesn't continue with his usual dialogue, instead she repeats that line second time and then game crashes. Unrelated with this, it seems that component " pick Alora at Gullykin " is incompatible with Mysteries of the Sword coast component " choosy NPCs " as it cause nasty problems with kicking her out of the party and sending her to inn latter ( pick Alora in Gullykin and choosy NPCs combo also messes " gender reactions " component from BG1RE mod ). Just a warning for players which play with all 3 mods. Game platform is vanilla BG:TotSC

Hi all,

Using component render cloakwood area available (all except mines) is bugged on EET as the mines will never appear (works fine on BGT though I'm using multiple install for testing purposes)

I solved it by adding a line to baldur.bcs when you read the letter in tazok's tent to make the area visible on map. As I said it works fine on a BGT install but not in EET.
