Can't install Divine Remix on OSX

Hello everybody, that's my first post on the G3 forums, now venturing forth with my party.

I've recently acquired an old macbook and first install was of course the BG saga. Now I'm modding SoA (thanks G3!), but I've encountered an issue with the Divine Remix mod.

First I downloaded the mac v8beta, unzipped the archive, copied the contents in the Resources folder like the other mods, and used OS-X-Weidu-Launcher-master to start the install. However the installation stops immediately without any prompt, and only display is "Killed 9".

Then I went back digging on this forum, and found the v7.1, which I tried to install with the Master Launcher. This time it launches and prompts requests (language, readme, display class components) but cannot get to install the Core Components (cannot convert kit / class to integer), and I can't get any further.

I've tried to install it as the first mod to check if maybe it was a compatibility issue with the other mods installed, but to no avail, still can't install either version.

Is there a specific trick to install the mods ? What am I doing wrong ?

Many thanks in advance.

Yeah, that's not supposed to happen.  The info about v7.1 working is very helpful.  Can you also tell us which version of the operating system you are running?

For brownie points, can you try running the WeiDU executable included in the mod (named setup-divine_remix) and confirm if that's where the error message is originating from?

If it is, can you try downloading the latest version of WeiDU from here and checking whether the WeiDU executables (named weidu) in the WeiDU-Mac/bin/x86 and WeiDU-Mac/bin/amd64 folders have the same issue?

Thanks for the quick reply!

I tried with the v8beta executable as well and I got the same "Killed: 9" message from the start.

Can't do that unfortunately for the v7.1 since I found only the PC version .exe.

I have OSX Mojave installed.

I've just done the test and both weidu executables seem to work fine. But not sure what to do with it to install the mod... I've tried clicking on the .command file but the same error occurs. Shall I launch the weidu and input a command line?

I'll try when I am back home after work. Thanks again for the help.

setup-divine_remix is just a renamed version of the weidu file from the WeiDU-Mac/bin/x86 folder, except it's an older version (v238), not the latest release (v246).

If v246 is working for you, you can go ahead and replace setup-divine_remix with a copy of that weidu file - just delete the old setup-divine_remix and rename the copy to match.

Ok that's great news! I'll try it this evening and let you know if it works. Thanks for all the help!

Never specified which game this is for - I only see "the BG saga." Does that mean you are playing BG2/Tutu/BGT? (That would explain why v7.1 works and v8+ doesn't.) Or are you playing the EE games?

Sorry, no I'm playing the EE games (from AppStore).

Using the last version of Weidu has solved the problem and I've installed v8beta. Worked for other mods as well.

Just FYI, if you use my Mac Weidu Launcher it will use the latest version of Weidu for all mods.

Ok thanks. I must've done something wrong then, since I used your launcher from the start and couldn't get it to work for some mods like Divine Remix or Improved Horns of Valhalla, until I used Mike's trick.

But that's an amazing tool anyway, thanks a lot!
