mr burns
Hello, folks! Yesturday I faced with a error during SCS v32.4 installation, Improved Abazigal Lair component: ERROR: BIFF [.\DATA\AREA150A.BIF] cannot be loaded: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat",".\\DATA\\AREA150A.BIF") ERROR locating resource for 'COPY' Resource [ar1501sr.bmp] not found in KEY file: [./chitin.key] Stopping installation because of error. (8 the same lines in a row) ERROR: Failure [Improved Abazigal Lair], rolling back to previous state 2 lines about uninstalling 27 files etc. ERROR: Failure ("resource [ar1501sr.bmp] not found for 'COPY'") I've managed to solve this issue by copying 106 AREA*.bif files from C:\Games\BGII - SoA\data\Data to the previous folder (C:\Games\BGII - SoA\data). It is interesting that with 31 version of SCS I had no such a problem. I know that this component was temporarily suspended, but I hope that I won't face crash during my run. Eventually, this worked for years without problems. So anyway, question is: does my manipulation with the game resources (copying *.bif files from C:\Games\BGII - SoA\data\Data to the folder C:\Games\BGII - SoA\data, given that these files (*.bif) remained in C:\Games\BGII - SoA\data\Data) may cause a crash, bug and the like? Non EE version, BG2 Fixpack v13, BGT 1.20, SCS v32.4. Edited September 27, 2019 by mr burns Quote Link to comment
Caillean
I recently had some errors just like this ("resource" not found for copy), but with BG2:EE (weidu ver. 246, both Linux and Windows). It affected different mods, even some components from Tweaks Anthology. So this might not be an issue with SCS? Quote Link to comment
