Unearthed Arcana presents Faiths & Powers: Gods of the Realms

Hello. I was currently using two mods, namely: (1) Artisan: Shadow Magic (https://artisans-corner.com/shadow-magic/) and (2) Faith and Powers. Using the Nigthbringer Kit (Shadow Adept / Cleric) and I don't have Sphere System Spells available. I assume it is related to the Modem: however, using it about 2 years ago it all worked.

Does anyone know how to approach this to make it work? I tried to get around it somehow using MultiClass MultiKit, but there were other things going on there, so I gave up on that.

Install order question: item 7 of the original post says if using SCS to provide the IWD divine spells, SCS should be installed before F&P. The install order in every Unearthed Arcana readme has F&P being installed before SCS. Would it be correct to therefore use F&P for IWD divine spells, install F&P before SCS, and not install the SCS component for IWD divine spells?

The IWD spells are the first components in SCS, and they have their own category in that mod. So what I do is:

- Start installing SCS. Tell it yes, show components for IWD spells, and no, don’t show any other components. Install IWD spells. Close the installer. (This should be done pretty early in your install order - before most spell-adding mods, before most or all kit-adding mods. Certainly before all mods that I’ve worked on.)

- Install spell/kit/etc. mods such as this one. 

- Install SCS again in its usual place, very late in the order. This time say no, don’t show the IWD spells components, and yes, do show all other components. Install whatever you want from SCS

During installing Faith and Powers on BG2EE, I get several warnings.

Most are for files getting no change.

Another issue is:

Cannot reproduce - I just installed these mods onto BG2EE 2.5.16 and I did not get any such errors:

"CLABUB$W" and "CLABPADA" sound odd, they look like mod-added stuff to my eyes (and not added very well - they aren't using modder prefixes!)  Maybe you don't have a clean game install, there is some cruft in your game file that is throwing off the mod installer? Hard to say.

Hello! I've got one prob when try to set cleric kit's to already generated character through nearinfinity, he's don't get spheres acces that they must and don't get specific spells becouse of it. T'viy from T'viy npc mod is Urdlen cliric, but in the original mod he's just standart priest. So how i can fix that? I slightly understand how nearinfinity works, so if there is some function that check character kit's after generation and changes spell list  - then we able to make, for example, some trigger that's run theres function in dialog with some character in any time, not only at the start of the game, right?

(Ah, it's seems that i just needed to rejoin character in to the paty)

1) Use NPC_EE or Level1NPCs or SCS NPC Customization. 

2) Set the kit field in the .CRE file(s) in Near Infinity, before you enter the area where the NPC is. 

3) Give me the names of the .CRE files and I will add it to the NPCs that are handled by the mod, so players won’t have to do any of that.

I have update the mod to v0.79.26, with an updated semi-spontaneous spellcasting function library, to work with version 0.8 of the 5E-style casting conversion mod.

The semi-spontaneous function library is shared by several of my mods. If you are using any 5E-style casting, you want to make sure you use the following mod versions (or later):

  • 5E Casting v0.8
  • Tome & Blood v0.9.12
  • Faiths & Powers v0.79.26
  • Might & Guile v4.12.1
  • Scales of Balance v5.32

How does Faith & Powers Alter Cleric Proficiencies option interact with aTweaks' altered weapon proficiency systems, if at all? I like having the BG1-style proficiencies (when I can get it to work on an install).

Divine spell choice menu don't work on the shamans, and also - spontaneous casting spell pick menu didn't work when lvl up even when i don't install multi-class shams component.

Also, there is some instruments for kit managment to delete some kit after installin? Becouse there is a bunch of kits that i didn't want  use, but want play with some kit from every class - pal,clir,dru,rang but cant get it becouse 256 kit limit! :c

Really? I didn't think there were enough kit mods out there to actually hit the 256 limit! (Multiclass kits don't count toward it.)

Anyway yeah there is a file, "d5_fnp_settings.ini" in the main mod folder. You can change the '1' to '0' for each kit you don't want to install.

I'll look into the spontaneous casting thing when I can. It worked for me last time I tried it, but maybe something has changed. That code is a bit creaky anyway, it could stand to be firmed up a bit. Don't hold your breath, though...

I think the probs in mods order, or mb some of them just incompatible, i trying these order after small mods and quests, (if i just instaling FNP+FNP-MC on them all works fine)

now i just dont understand how is it works - im just reinstald everything, and spontageous casting picking menu just don't apear anymore - even "activate spell lerning" icon (that icons was appearing before, but  did't doing anything, now they just don't appear) BUT - i im decide to install multiclass shamans before start from the scratch again and on that kit(sham/war) all start works perfectly fine. WTF?

Could be Divine Remix #11? The DR spells component has given me trouble in the past, and I never figured out why.

Also I think this time you installed the sphere system, while last time you didn't?  The spontaneous casting might work better with the sphere system, that's probably how I did most of my testing.

mmm, i always install default FnP system and apply em, also - divine remix change shams too?

So, you saying that my mods order seems to be ok? I try to install it without DR.
