Do i need the expansion to use mod

Im playing original BG, no mods no expansions..can i still use the resolution mod ?

No. But you should patch the game to the latest official patch that's available at G3. Among other places as well.

And by the by, you HAVE to mean the 5 CD version as the other "original" BG1 versions are verylikely patched TotSC ones.
