Disregard - looks like this is actually coming from a different mod and it's not a banter from the BG1 NPC Project! Sorry for the confusion.

If it's a banter which is called randomly by the engine, the Stutter Debug Tool won't help with identifying I fear. What you could do is search the quote in Near Infinity to see where it is used (probably Khalid's banter file) and see how it is triggered. It should give an idea which variable you could set per cheat to stop the repetition.

I have no experience with this error message. I would assume some mod made invalid changes to the cre file. You could do a changelog on gellan.cre to see which mod tinkered with it.

I believe I've (somewhat) solved the problem with a different load order/mod option selection. Seems like Divine Remix was modifying gellan.cre before BG NPC. I installed it afterwards (and forewent the spheres system) and it seems fine now.

In Kagain's quest to deal with the caravan after you initially recruit him, when you talk to the female by the overturned wagons (I don't recall her name), there is one line of audio that is spoken and it's some random line from Irenicus (EET install).

I'm not even certain the Kagain quest is from this mod...

Does anyone use the GOG version of BGEE? I'm having a problem launching the modded game.

 

BG launches fine on it's own, after installing the mod nothing happens when I try to do it. No errors during the installation, nothing. The game just won't start? :(

@Jenova that can be related to a wrongly formatted text. I would assume BG1NPC does no longer contain those, given the age of the mod (and current version) but there is always a first time to every bug.

Do you have SoD, too? Did you first install the DLC Merger?

Which version of the game do you have? Should be most revent 2.6.6. Which version of the mod? Please post the contents of your weidu.log.

Yes, I have SoD. I did install the merger as well. Game is on 2.6.6.

I was installing the (newest?) v30 of the mod.

I'll try to replicate this and send the log as I finally managed to get the mod to work yesterday by skipping the installation of two optional components of the mod - the bardic reputation and Kivan's proficiency tweak. I'm fairly sure it was one of those two that was cousing problems.

This is not a bug with NPC Project but some might think so i'm posting the solution I found here.


During the an EET playthrough I kept getting tavern music whenever Imoen and some others started their NPC Project banter. This is because some NPCs play song 0 which is supposed to be blank with no music in this mod.


I eventually traced it to another mod I had, Branwen in BG2, that was changing the Song 0 2da entry from G3Blank to Blank, which in the vanilla BG2EE game is set to TAV1 causing the tavern music. If this happens to you with this mod, or any other, the solution is just to set it back to G3Blank with NearInfinity after your mods are done installing.
