@4udr4n Have you had any trouble with buying direct healing services from temples?  It is reliably crashing my game every time.  Very annoying...

This happens to me too, only on some temples I think. I tried to not install aTweaks temple component but no change in mid-game.

We never used ToBEx nor EEex.  Thus, I can't fairly state; however, if you're interested, I recommend testing it within your group.  Try just EEex and your game (like EET) initially.

Also talk with the EEex mod authors for more info.

Yeah, we tried and just have crash, since it's old and was only for one spell I will leave it there.

The most annoying thing we have now it's the random text, any NPC can get the name of a weapon with all its description for example. Or some action in the log in battle. And each one have a different text sometimes. And then each install is different.

I figured out the temple store crash: I searched STO files in Near Infinity for “temple.” About 1/3 to 1/2 were trying to offer sppr215 as a service, but that spell is not in my game. I removed it from each store, and now they work fine.

Speculation: might be IR, offering Cure Moderate Wounds on the assumption that SR added that spell as sppr215. But now, as of SR 4b17+, SR adds spells dynastically and in my game Cure Moderate is actually sppr216. I just made a bunch of fixes for IR, if this speculation is right I’ll fix this one too.

EDIT - confirmed.  It's easy enough to fix in NI/DLTCEP, though I suppose it would not be hard to make a hotfix mod as well, if people need it.  Meantime, until IR 4b11 is released, anyone doing a new install can feel free to use my fork of the mod.  It's on my Github page.

Thanks for all your mods and effort. We can install that change mid-game and would take effect? Also in case you know, we can install IR-Revised over your IR fork? I just updated to use it...

You can use either - it's compatible with both b10 and subtledoctor's b11. Thanks to him, I also realized that Dispel Magic wasn't currently usable in temple services due to it actually being Remove Magic (i.e. targets enemies only), and used his same technique to make sure temple services actually use Dispel Magic.

(e): Although I would disagree with subtledoctor on it taking effect after re-installing: from my tests of a BG2:EE game, temple services/stores/etc. will *not* be updated if you have already visited it. After applying subtledoctor's fix and reloading my save, the temple was still using the incorrect resources - after creating a new character without closing the game and MoveToArea-ing to the same store, it was now using the correct resources.

How can you make that IR revision official?

I’ve made a “pull request” for all my fixes to be merged into the main branch. G3 has to inspect them, make sure they approve of what I did/how I did it, and decide how many of the changes to accept. Then, presumably, the result will be called “4b11,” and you’ll see a post about it in the IR forum.

For anyone interested in Bartimaeus’ IR Revised, he has already solved most of these problems and will probably soon solve all of them. So a prospective 4b11 + IRR will not have any advantage over 4b10 + IRR. So if you use IRR, just stick with 4b10 and don’t worry too much about it.

I'm playing with a friend so first, did you test your mods in multiplayer? And second, I also installed S9SoundsetsVol2, but I always get Invalid Text or a random text for the subtitles when I have one of the voice selected. And each install is random. Has that also happened to you?

I haven't tried multiplayer at all.

I don't use subtitles and have not seen any such test issues.

Nope, all working fine. Only crashes I've had are from collecting every book i nthe game into a mod added book container (maybe the BG1RE one?), stopped happenign when I ditched them.

I'm working on a big list of issues at the moment, will post over the next few days.

EEex

Caused a few crashed for me so I gave up, can't justify it based on the 3 components it would enable for me. I really want Bubb's Spell Menu, but not enough to run an unstable game.

Could you please describe these crashes and provide the corresponding crash .dmp's? I'm grateful for all of the installs here trying out EEex, it is exactly what is required to battle-harden, and bug-proof a mod. EEex is perfectly stable in vanilla, but as you have seen, the vast amount of mods available for the IE can interact with EEex in unexpected ways. The one thing I will stress, (and I don't mean this in an accusatory way, so please don't take it as such), is that reporting a crash/bug is very important. Sure, there might be unknown crashes, and that sucks, but they will never be fixed if they aren't reported.

As for the multiplayer talk with EEex, sadly EEex doesn't handle multiplayer very well right now - I'll try to improve this in the next major version bump.

Absolutely understand, and I have been making some effort to report issues with full info.

Unfortunately most of my EEex isntalls were done with a list of mods that had other incompatibilities (overlapping quest stuff and messed up kits and proficiencies, probably not the cause of crashes, but could be) and while I was busy with work. I've nuked my install so many times since I'm not convinced I can provide the right .dmp's and weidu logs for you, otherwise I would.

Once I have a setup that is fully stable and functional without EEex, I'd like to reintroduce it and will provide reports. All I can tel lyou for now is that with it installed I got frequent but inconsistent crashes after chapter starts and cutscenes or when loading games and areas. After removing it those are gone.

I appreciate your commitment to fixing it and am not seeking to deter others from testing, but it's too much of a challenge when managing such a long mod list, so once I knew it was either causing or contributing to the crashes I had, I dropped it and moved on fast.

Oh if I knew you were here I would save the debug file. The only thing we check was when me or my friend equip a shield we couldn't save and if we checked the character page it crashes the game. It must be hard to debug multiplayer...

I had an issue with shields too, whenever I clicked on an equipped shield the game froze.

Just reinstalled as I had issues to solve (Baeloth missing, Dorn broken, porbably because I'd tried to both passify and relocate them using diff mods), and now have an odd issue.

@lefreut, when I use Faydark's Autoroller, it crashes if my character is an Elf or Gnome, but otherwise works perfectly. I've tried a variety of classes and kits, they make no difference.

In better news, simple centred dialogue works well.

Hidden gameplay options still shows in the BG2 UI though (I have LeUI SoD installed).

Also, I can't find any crash files, does EET store them somewhere new?

when I use Faydark's Autoroller, it crashes if my character is an Elf or Gnome, but otherwise works perfectly. I've tried a variety of classes and kits, they make no difference.

I was able to reproduce \o/ I have no idea how it can happen but at least now I can debug it.

Hidden gameplay options still shows in the BG2 UI though (I have LeUI SoD installed).

Indeed, my fix only works with BG2EE not EET :( It's yet another combination I need to test. I will look into this.
