Guest Spellcaster Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Hi, I just found out that BG2EE 2.x still provides the ability to set wild surges to a given ID from 0 (default surge behaviour) to 100. Baldur.lua needs to contain Quote SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','WILD SURGE KEYS','1') Capital letters are important. IESDP's CLUAConsole page is missing it. I don't know if surges occurring this way can behave in ever so slightly different ways than when occurring through normal gameplay. But: Surge "9B" at the bottom of wildmag.2da, which appears to be surge #101, is not accessible (Normal gameplay gets it at least through the Reckless Dweomer) Surge #51 appears to be transformed under the hood into #46 when indoors (I think this is normal gameplay) Rarely, surge #100 somehow seems to replace the surge set with CTRL+H to any 1-99 ID. (Poorly tested with CTRL+H, and completely unsure this is normal gameplay) Quote
Guest Spellcaster Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 For the last point, turns out surge #100 "Spell cast normally" is triggered whenever wild surge occurs trying to cast Fire Shield (Blue) and (Red), Find Familiar or Spell Immunity's main button, before picking the school (school selection is not affected though). That means the Fire Shields can be cast as level 1 spells instead of level 4 with zero risk of failure. Quote
