Player
[C:\Users\Scholar\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\bg1npc-v25\setup-bg1npc.exe] WeiDU version 24600 Please run this program in your Infinity Engine game directory. FATAL ERROR: Failure("Not a game directory") Press ENTER to exit. This is what happens when I try to install any mod Quote Link to comment
TotoR
I think that you have not extracted mods in the root folder of bgee but in separate folder. Try to extract every mods in bgee root folder : you should have all setup-mod.exe files directly there. Quote Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
Aka, in this directory; C:\Users\Scholar\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\ Rather than this: C:\Users\Scholar\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\bg1npc-v25\ ... yeah. Quote Link to comment
Player
I have everything set up like this and the same thing still happens. Is there somewhere else I should move these files to? Edited March 31, 2021 by Player Quote Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
Why would you move the Zakrion_BG1-v1.0.zip -file into "the game" folder, you need to extract it ... but not into your documents sub folders, as that's not the folder the game is installed into, it's the folder that computer makes to put your stuff into. Saves etc. See, it doesn't contain the Baldur.exe, chitin.key, engine.lua, nor EULA.txt -files, that are the haulmarks of the games install folder. Go back into the desktop view, right click the games starter quick icon file, and find the install folder in it's properties. It's the folder the games .exe is located in. And go there. And extract the archive into it. And now it installs. Edited March 31, 2021 by Jarno Mikkola Quote Link to comment
Player
I can't find that folder through the app itself. Could you show me specifically where it is? Quote Link to comment
ABlake
It's where you installed the game to. For example C:\Program Files\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\ or G:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\ Do you know where you installed the game to? Player
I got things figured out for most BG2 mods, but for some BG1 mods: FATAL ERROR: Sys_error(".\\lang\\en_us\\dialog.tlk: Permission denied") What should I do about this? Quote Link to comment
