WEAPPROF.2DA Edit Is Not working

I edited the WEAPPROF.2DA to allow my custom cleric kit to be able to use long swords and spears, and it's not showing up when I start a new character and get to the screen where you put your pips into weapon styles. I put a 2 in both large swords and spears. I've triple-checked.

Is there another 2DA file somewhere that you have to edit to make it so you can put points into them?

If this is the EE game, they coded the proficiency screen to only display options that are available to the base class. So you would need to also edit the unkitted cleric column in weapprof.2da and allow trueclass clerics to use longswords and spears. 

Yes, that obviously entails other consequences that you may not like. It’s SUPER annoying. 

Another option is to leave the trueclass column alone and install the UI mod calked “hidden game options” or something like that. It has a component to display all weapons in the proficiency screen. (Or maybe it’s an option in lefreut’s UI tweaks... I forget.)

Thing is, there's 2 sword and spear proffs. One for BG1 style proffs, and another for BG2 style proffs.

... mean NOTHING to you if you play BG2, or EE style game as opposed to BG1, where it was featured originally. As in, it needs to be the ID 90 and 98 that you should be looking at, which are later in the table.

Whoops, I didn't spot that. That may be the error. Or, another error. Good eye, Jarno.

It wasn't my eyes I used... but the knowledge that the feature was there that told me this. Having had made kits and all that.
