Final Boss Time Stop

I'm using SCS and Ascension (and, in case relevant, the Core Component for Tactics so I can include a few of those battles) and I'm having a real tough time with the Time Stops of the final boss. There's obviously a lot going on in the final battle but I'm not hearing the boss start the chant for Time Stop ("praesi alia...") and as a result it's essentially insta-cast. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but it's a pain! Relevant Weidu log below.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Just played through again and I heard "prae-" and then was in the timestop. So it's not necessarily that it's skipping the words, but it's like a casting time of 1.

Quick update just to mention there are definitely times when the Time Stop is cast by the final boss with no words of power sound effect at all.

You mean ToB final boss? IIRC Ascension Mellisan will cast Timestop everytime one of the Five is dead. So the best tactic is to bring them all to near death and then kill all of them at the same time.

Thanks, that is helpful to know. I'm aware of that tactic but did not realize that each Time Stop occurred after one of the Five's deaths. The primary issue is just not being able to hear it coming (and thus not being able to react). Understanding the scripting via your tip could sort of be a workaround in a sense.
