Guest Michael Posted January 9, 2022 Share Posted January 9, 2022 Hi all. I tried to install this mod (amber-v5.1.exe file) into BG2: Extended Edition and was unsuccessfull. Error is: "SKIPPING: [Amber the NPC MOD] Please install the Throne of Bhaal expansion and the official patch before installing Amber. " In what may be the problem ? BG2: Extended Edition (from Steam) includes the Throne of Bhaal. Quote Link to comment

Jarno Mikkola Posted January 9, 2022 Share Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) Aka, Michael, you extracted the amber-v5.1.exe(yes, it's a self extraction archive file) file into some folder and then ran it in there, and not in the games install folder, which is where all of this game's installs need to be made, and you also need to have a write permission in there.
