Bg1 NPC for SOA Kagain

I am playing Baldur's Gate with EET and Bg1 NPC for SOA trying to keep the same evil party. I just escaped from Irenicus dungeon and there Is in Waukeen Promenade Kagain with a shop. Bg1 NPC Soa documentation says he can be persuaded to join, but he wants to be a trader, even with friend spell I can't convince him to join. He gives me no clue, he mentions Rimbaud as his rival but Rimbaud doesn't mention him so I get no way to appease Kagain damaging Rimbaud or to sabotage Kagain to make him bankrupt so he Is forced to become an adventurer again.

Anybody has an idea?

This is a simple task really. You have to view the goods in the Kagain's store, and talk to Kagain again and invite him to join again - after one or two times he will change his mind and agree to do it

P.S. Hint: invite him to join when he says "Take a look at me goods, I've got the finest quality stuff on the Sword Coast."
