vahvapatuke Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) Hey! I installed SCS for BG 1 EE and went through what I think was the Weidu Process (In command prompt) in which I finally had the "Installation Successful" messages. The game however doesn't seem to be affected at all. Some of the things I checked are: I installed the mod into the directory in Program files, the directory which has a "chitin.key" file in it. The "WeiDU" Notepad file has all the mods I decided to install written in it. I tried playing the game (Made a new game from start) to check if I'm a real dummy and just couldn't tell that there's been a change. In Candlekeep I tried attacking Firebeard, the assassins, and as I understand, both of them should have some tweaked abilities, yet everything seemed to be the same. Casters seemed the same, the bears also certainly weren't faster, and gibberlings were dumb as always. The character creation screen was the same as it always was. (As I understood, there should be some tweaks/additional buttons there?) I haven't played BG with SCS before so I didn't really know what to look for either, so if I'm a big dummy and the mod's already installed then perhaps someone could tell me how to make sure that's the case. My thanks in advance! Edited March 31, 2022 by vahvapatuke Quote
Quester Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) This is a good thread to read to learn the basics of playing with mods: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/82840/a-new-player-s-guide-to-installing-and-playing-mods First order of business, if you haven't done this: Quote Special: If you're modding a game with Siege of Dragonspear from Steam or GOG, you must run a mod called DLC Merger on your game before you can install any other WeiDU-based mod. Some mods may recommend a program named ModMerge instead, but DLC Merger is the preferred method these days. Edited March 31, 2022 by Quester Quote
