Meneldil Palantir Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 (edited) Hello everyone! I've just installed EET and it seems to work just fine, but I'd like to change a few minor things in the first part of the adventure (ex-BG1) using NearInfinity. Now I believed that EET basically just merged BG:EE with BG2:EE. But when I open EET with NearInfinity, I can't find the files for the first part of the adventure. Namely, I wanted to change the music on the second and third floors of the Friendly Arms Inn, but the files for theses areas aren't in the ARE folder. So I wonder: are theses files hidden somewhere else? Or should I open BG:EE with NearInfinity and change the files there? Will it work in EET? Thanks a lot! EDIT I tried changing the files opening BG:EE with NearInfinity and it didn't work... Please don't tell me I should have done the change BEFORE installing EET and there is no way to do it now... megrimlock Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 EET puts all of BG1 into your BG2 (override) folder. Your BG1 folder is entirely redundant at that point. Quote
jastey Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 @Meneldil Palantir like mentioned, you should find the BG1 resources in the EET override folder. The area files you are looking for now have the "BG" prefix. That makes the areas of second and third floors of the Friendly Arms Inn BG2302.are and BG2303.are, respectively. Also, in Near Infinity you can set how the files are displayed. You can change the setting so that the added are files are also shown in the "ARE" menue choice. Quote
Meneldil Palantir Posted March 24, 2024 Author Posted March 24, 2024 Ooops... That's what I thought, and I had been looking in the override folder, but I missed the part about the "BG" prefix, so I was just searching for regular "AR2302.ARE" files... Well, for my defense, I installed Shadows over Soubar as well, so the override folder is quite huge now. Thanks a lot anyway! So I suppose it's now safe to completely uninstall BG:EE? Quote
megrimlock Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 You can safely delete your BGEE installation, yes. Quote
