Sources of that charge-draining effect in the vanilla game:

- Magic Golem attack

- Nishruu/Hakeashar attack

- Spellhaunt attack

- Hive Mother antimagic ray

There's also one of the SPWM spells, but it doesn't appear to be used; instead, the wild surge table doubles up on the next spell.

It's tied to the abilities that transform between states, so only the "PnP restrictions" version.

The components for two-handed axes, katanas, and bastard swords do not have this problem, because they use opcode 123 to remove the old item instead of charge exhaustion.
