Nerf Overpowered Items Working Correctly?

I have this component installed, but it appears to have only partially taken effect. Carsomyr allows a save, and the Robe of Vecna and Vhailor's Helm are at least not in Deirdre's shop, so at least the component didn't fail to install. However, Rods of Resurrection still fully heal their target upon resurrection, and the Staff of the Magi still immediately and automatically confers invisibility upon being equipped. My stratagems.ini isn't set to ignore those items, either, which was my first thought.

I noticed this while thinking about changing the Staff of the Magi so that the invisibility effect needs to be activated, and then noticed that the new version of SCS had supposedly already done this - it just doesn't work that way in my game. Is this a bug with SCS, or just me?

Thanks for the report; this is partly a bug, partly outdated documentation. As of v35, the Resurrection Rod is supposed to be nerfed only on oBG2, not on the Enhanced Edition (EE already tweaks it so you can only use it on dead creatures, which removes the healing ability which was the main reason for the nerf) and the invisibility power is supposed to be removed entirely from the Staff of the Magi. But there's also a code bug that means the remove-invisibility bit isn't working. Will be fixed in the next version; you can hotfix it by dropping the attached file into stratagems/item.
