Holden
I was wondering if anyone here could instruct me on how to add a portrait to an NPC that does not have one assigned? My latest run has a lot of quest mods with NPCs that engage you in dialog but don't have a portrait assigned, which is a bit immersion-breaking for me. Do I just find the .cre file, rename a portrait to that .cre file, and dump it in the Override folder, or is it more involved that that? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
jastey
Are you talking about NPCs or quest characters in the game? NPCs are joinable characters. For normal characters, you'd need to patch the cre file with a portrait name first. Quote Link to comment
Holden
I am referring to quest characters. For instance, for several missions in Shades of the Sword Coast, there are a number of quest characters without portraits, and I want to add them in if possible. I'm not familiar with patching the cre files as you mentioned. Is there a way to identify which character is referenced in a cre file beyond the naming of the file itself? And how would I go about patching the cre file once I've identified the character its attached to? Quote Link to comment
jastey
You could have a look at the game with Near Infinity to see the cre filesand their ingame names. For patching the portrait to the cre file, you could look at other portrait mods. Quote Link to comment
