Lightbringer
EET install. Just EET, IWD-in-EET, and a (nearly) full install of ToF. I'm trying to narrow down another error hiding somewhere in my mega-install. (For whatever it's worth, the other error I'm chasing down involves "unable to find SPLWI526A in CHITIN.KEY." I have a massive list, so I'm not considering that a TOF bug until/unless I can narrow down the cause. ) Here's the current error: Include arcane spells from IWD installed correctly with only EET. Adding IWD-in-EET and IWD2-in-EET resulted in this error: //ERROR: illegal 2-byte write (//ERROR: [idpro313.pro] -> [override/idpro313.pro] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("idpro313.pro: write out of bounds")) Is this because I already installed IWD spells due to installing IWD-in-EET? Most of the TOF component seemed to install successfully. The error occurred during a "forceblade" operation, and after successful operations on elemental summoning. My thought was that ToF's importing of IWD spells would be superior or more comprehensive to what occurs through IWD-in-EET, and that ToF's versions would overwrite IWD-in-EET's versions. Is that valid, or should I refrain from installing ToF's IWD spells? Edited August 22 by Lightbringer Quote Link to comment

Doh! Okay, So I didn't record the initial error, as It was at the bottom of a hundreds-of-components install. I thought I remembered the name, and I was apparently wrong. I figured I wouldn't worry about it until I had narrowed down the initial error. Maybe it's SPWI526A? I'm pretty sure it's 526A -- whatever prefix is correct for wizard spells. Lightbringer
Quick follow up. If I install IWDification's Include IWD Arcane spells, then IWD-in-EET, then ToF -- while skipping ToF's Include IWD Arcane Spells -- then everything appears to go smoothly. That doesn't really help with ToF's component, but it is a workaround -- and hopefully not just a band-aid disguising a deeper issue with IWD-in-EET. Quote Link to comment
DavidW
There are small differences in the way IWDEET does IWD spell inclusion compared to IWDification/SCS/ToF that sometimes break mods that assume the IWD spells. Your workaround is the right one. Quote Link to comment
Lightbringer
Thanks for the details. I suspected as much, as IWD-in-EET isn't necessarily trying to make those spells available for everyone in the base game all the time, like the other mods. Quote Link to comment
