Upon reviewing their CLABMO1.2DA file I can't find how this is applied? I have found an SPDM107.SPL file that provides a +1 bonus to armour class vs missile attacks, but it doesn't appear to be used in the game. Is it fair to say that in an unmodded enhanced edition game this ability is not applied correctly to the Monk class? Quote
argent77 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Monks receive a +1 ac bonus vs. missiles every 3 levels assigned to the "Missile AC modifier" field of the CRE (offset 0x4c). It could be hardcoded though if there is no spell assigned to it in the CLAB. Quote
jmerry Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Checking one of my old saves, the missile bonus is indeed directly applied to the CRE stats; no lingering effect. The same is true for the base AC, though that has a spell that does it in the CLAB - SPCL822 has 16 abilities, each of which contains an AC-setting effect with timing mode 1. There is definitely no spell that applies the monk missile AC modifier; I searched for all spells with an opcode 0/timing 1 effect just to make sure. Actually, I suspect that unused SPDM107 was a failed effort to add something to the Dark Moon monk which turned out to be incompatible with the monk hardcoding. Quote
