Playing IRwith 3rd Edition Style tables

Hi friends, 

Can you tell me if  item revisions and in a lesser extend spell revisions are designed to be compatible (I mean in a logical and optimal way) with 3rd Edition Style tables (STR, DEX,CONS,WIS,INT,CHA) or any others style tables.

I am thinking about installing some component of the old The Big Tweak Pack, especially the 3rd Edition tables for str, dex, cons etc...

Should work fine. IR changes a lot of "set stat to 18" and similar items and instead makes them give a ~2-point bonus to the stat. That works particularly well with 3rd Edition-style tables, which grant bonuses every two points.
