Guest Guest Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Getting the disc editions (the PC-DVD versions) of the old games, and the only clear instructions I can find are for older windows version (7 and so on). I know just enough to get me in trouble with this kind of stuff, so I figured I would ask people who knew what they were doing. The instructions to install gemrb seem clear enough, but I can't find anything to get the games installed and up and running from disks on a windows 10 system. Thanks in advance! Quote
Jarno Mikkola Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Either don't use the C drive. Or if you need to use the C drive, you need to install the game to the C:\Users\ windows user name \Games or some other alternative \Game folder - and use the other Windows 7 advice. If you won't do either, then you are locked out from using any other folder as the Windows 10 owns all the others and thus won't allow you any other access without special permission granting. Such as write permission, and without writing, well you cannot alter anything. Windows 10 for you. ..but it's still better than all the other alternatives. Quote
