agemartin Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Back in the day I would set the FPS of BG1 or BG2 to 60 using the BGConfig.exe settings interface. Is there a way to set the FPS when running in GemBR? the setting in Baldur.ini does not work, CapFPS=60 in GemRB.cfg neither, at least not for me... not even when run in terminal pointing to the config file like this: `./gemrb.app/Contents/MacOS/gemrb -c GemRB.cfg` greatful for any hints what to try, on 30 FPS it is literally unplayable for me after having it played at 60 FPS for all those years... lynx Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) CapFPS is about drawing FPS, what people typically associate with FPS. If you're note getting 60 by setting it to 60, you must be running this on a potato. What BGConfig sets is the AI speed. If you want to change that, modify "Maximum frame rate" in baldur.ini (or gem-baldur.ini if it already exists), which is the same thing the GUI did. Edited November 11 by lynx Quote
agemartin Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 (edited) Not the fastest machine in the world, but still, MBA M1 16GB RAM... I guess I am doing somethnig wrong, but what? I created a GemRB.cfg file like this: CapFPS=60 I run the app in Terminal from the folder with GemRB.cfg and gemrb.app: ./gemrb.app/Contents/MacOS/gemrb -c GemRB.cfg In the game folder, I have both baldur.ini and gem-balder.ini files: baldur.ini Maximum Frame Rate=60 gem-baldur.ini Maximum Frame Rate = 60 Edited November 11 by agemartin adding screenshot Quote
