DrAzTiK Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) Hi David, I hope you are doing well, Thanks again for keeping your mod updated ! What do you think about a component revisiting the fight against Faldorn in BG2 ? The vanilla dual fight taking place in the arena is interesting but has some limits : - We can ask Cernd to fight her and he wins againt her in a few seconds : very tempting , this vanilla behaviour is not cheating oc but I prefer to do it myself with Ctrl-y - If you don't want to cheat thanks to Cernd, then you are are forced to have a high level druid in your team. Even without using the vanilla broken exeperience tables of druids, we are forced to beat Faldorn post underdark. So it could be nice to add another way, something more direct and "brutal" For exemple, what about a fight against Faldorn and all her acolytes, everything is already in place. It may be quite simple on the paper, maybe just add one line of dialog allowing to fight Faldorn and her acolytes (while keeping the option to fight her in the groove for "purist") . some ideas : - remove the Faldorn 1hp ring oc - add decent gear to faldorn - give Faldorn some insane resistance considering the groove is suposed to protect here but without being invincible. It doesn't cost anything to ask ^^ Edited November 24 by DrAzTiK Quote
DrAzTiK Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 (edited) I just noticed that the fight I want is more or less avaible in vanilla. You just have to poison the groove (but then forced to choose the relatively evil path) Even doing that, it looks not optimized with SCS coz once Faldorn notice the groove is poisoned, she first move to her initial stand, loosing precious time, then she turn hostile but she doesn't get a SCS spellbook/script. Even the groove being poisoned, she could still benefit from some resistances. (bottle in the sea ^^) Edited November 26 by DrAzTiK Quote
Isewein Posted November 26 Posted November 26 (edited) I can't tell whether that's a pun or a misspelling there in the title, but if it's a pun it's pretty great. Edited November 26 by Isewein Quote
