I got an error while installing component 2 that looked like this:

 

ERROR: Failure("resource [_BAYARD.DLG] not found for 'CHAIN3'")

PLEASE email the file SETUP-BG1NPC.DEBUG to The BG1 NPC Project Team: forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showforum=45

 

I have an inkling that this is a TOTSC file. I do not have TOTSC.

Yes, it is. Thank you for reporting.

 

As a quick fix go to BG1NPC/Phase2/DLG/X#VIINT.D and find line 130-133; it starts with I_C_T2 and ends with END. Either delete the whole block or put // in front of every line. Try recompiling, and please let me know if you run into any other non-comp files. If you are installing Ajantis' romance, please see an updated DLG file for non-ToTSC users in this thread:

Bored and not willing to go to sleep, I decided to fiddle with my installation a little. I got TUTUFix working (YAY!), and I located 2 other files in BG1NPC that errored: DETRAD (in the same file as BAYARD), and HACK (in X#QUINT). I managed to find the problem lines, and //'d them out.

 

...Yep, that's right. I got the thing to install correctly. Now I can do more than just read.
