Well, I was messing around in Shadowkeeper and checked the global values, and it says romanceactive: 2. Now, I don't know, but normally I thought "2" meant it was over, or that I screwed up somehow. I don't think I have... but I could be wrong. Now, is the value 2 because I messed up, or is it still going as planned?
BigRob Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 In the Bioware romances, a RomanceActive value of 2 means that you're at the committed stage. I'm pretty sure this holds true for BG1NPC too, but someone else will know for sure. Have the Lovetalks stopped?
Guest Guest Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Ohhh. Okay, you're probably right, now that I think about it. I haven't played long enough to know if they lovetalks have stopped, but I can still flirt, so I assume it must still be on. False alarm, I suppose. Sorry.

Domi Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Actually, in BG1NPC 3 does not mean it's over Branwen's Romance is a special case, to be honest. When in doubt, you can always check the Romance Guide included with the mod to see if there are special conditions on the next talk and where you are in the romance

I can't remember what lovetalk it was when she got mad... if it was 19, then I should have gotten one because it's been so damn long, but if it was 20, then I have to wait until I'm in Candlekeep, correct?
Domi Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Once she gets mad with you, all her other lovetalks will be situational, not sequentional. Even after she breaks up with you she does not clam up, sinse she still has feelings for the PC, so she will show them
Guest Ross Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Sorry to bother you again. I'm trying to see how the Dynaheir romance plays out now. So far, she hasn't broken up with me (unlike *someone*, you cold hearted cleric). I'm having trouble with her lovetalks, though. Following the guide, after lovetalk 12 I'm supposed to get lovetalk 13, which starts once I'm injured below 96% of my hitpoints. So I got Kivan to fill me full of arrows and get way below 96%, just to be sure, and then I gallavanted around a while until the next lovetalk. However, I got lovetalk 14, instead! Rather than commenting on how I need a healer, and how I'm not 'hale', she says "In my travels I have observed yada yada yada". Okay, this wouldn't be so big of a deal if it just skipped a lovetalk, but now I've waited for quite a bit and I haven't gotten the next one. If it tries to do the one it skipped, lovetalk 13, then I should be injured. If it tries to do the one after that, number 15, then I should be in the city. So I left myself injured in the city and let the game sit while I made myself something to eat, just to make sure it was working. It wasn't. I didn't get the lovetalk. Shadow Keeper says it's still active, so... do you know what's up?

Guest Ross Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 There is no "lovetalkGLOBAL" value... unless I'm horribly mistaken, and you're actually just looking for the lovetalk value in the Global Variables. So, under Global variables, the lovetalk value is 31.

Click-talk her (the same way you would do if you wanted a flirt) after you have set the variable to 26 The other thing to check is your X#DynaheirRomanceInactive That should be 0, not 1 for an active romance. And, finally, did you discover your Bhaal's heritage any time recently? That will move you to a different branch of talks, and the romance will not resume untill you sort that out

Romanceinactive isn't there, and neither is romancecutbyother, both of which where once there when I had her and Branwen in the party. Keeping them both active is probably a lot easier than it is in real life, I imagine. I haven't found out the Bhaal heritage yet. So, I don't know what's going on! I only pray you do.
